CBC MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” KJV
Men, are you looking for a place that you can grow in the Word of God? Are you
looking for a place where you can get answers to some of those life questions that seem to evade you? Are you looking for a place where you can express your thoughts freely and not be criticized? Are you looking to form relationships with other men who may be going through some of the same struggles as you, but seem to have it all together? Are you wondering what can help you in your everyday life? Maybe a time in God’s Word with other men can be just the solution you need.
The CBC Men’s Bible Study is a place where we spend a time of singing, praying, studying, and discussing the Word of God. Each week we do an expository study going through a particular portion of a book of the Bible. By taking this verse by verse approach, we believe that we can get a better understanding of the Scriptures. Keeping verses in their proper context is vital to getting a true meaning of a passage. Knowing who wrote a book, where it was written, to whom it was written, and the circumstances as to why it was written can give us a better interpretation of the Scriptures.
We also emphasize building strong relationships with each other. It is very important to study with men that care and are concerned about each other. Knowing that we can share what’s really on our minds and not be scoffed at is very important to us. Also, confidentiality is stressed on a continual basis. Sharing one's true feelings is very helpful to the individual and the group as a whole. Therefore, we encourage open dialogue and wherever possible allow the Word of God to be the final authority.
So come and join us on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30. Hopefully, you will find a place where you can not only grow spiritually, but also develop a better understanding of God’s Word and build deeper relationships with other men. |
